Are you someone who loves people? Do you have outside direct to consumer sales experience? Blackrock Residential is looking for an energetic and motivated person to join our dynamic sales team.

Blackrock Residential specializing in new construction for hundreds of homes Multi and apartments and other commercial properties in the city of Edmonton and surrounding area. This year we’re expanding our presence even further into the direct to consumer and business to business industries. The incumbent in this role will have knowledge in construction and a high attention to detail. This is a sales position and there will be metrics and accountability in place to ensure clear expectations for achieving specific objectives.

The In-Home Sales Representative will report directly to the Director

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5 years sales experience

  • Flexible working schedule including evenings and weekends

  • Administrative experience

  • Working knowledge of social media

  • MUST be a Team Player

  • High level understanding of construction and building methods is preferred

  • Must have a willingness to learn

  • Good computer skills; comfortable with Excel, Word, CRM software and email platform

  • Able to use and implement email campaigns and email drip marketing campaign G
  • Excellent English communication skills and capacity to influence sales, in person, over the phone, with customers are various levels

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Find business, follow leads, consult by telephone, email, and through in-person sales calls, and foster relationships with customers

  • High attention to detail to provide necessary paperwork and estimates. Ensuring accuracy in specification, contracts and pricing

  • Ensure that all pricing changes or adjustments are communicated in a timely manner

  • Maintain accurate and current records of contracts

  • Act as a liaison and support between construction staff and customers

  • Networking using social and referrals to develop new sales opportunities

  • Continuously Develop, implement, track and update marketing plan and marketing items to achieve the best ROI to develop new sales opportunities

    • Updating email monthly lists and email content

    • Update leads to monthly quarterly follow up email list after lead goes cold

    • Review with Director suggested action plan and updates to plan to review progress

    • update lead systems to verify Cost of acquisition to sales

  • Prepare for and meet current customers to determine their needs. Demonstrate knowledge of the industry, pricing, competition and develop opportunities to increase sales

  • Liaison between customer and company

  • Represent Blackrock Residential at our partner facilities

  • Represent Blackrock Residential at trade shows, exhibitions, and other events or demonstrations as required

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of Blackrock Residential services

  • Provide a high standard of customer services (both external and internal) for the company, through proper and timely communication

  • Maintain diligence with call planning, follow ups and strategizing

  • Maintain diligence in updating time records and tracking progress on leads

  • Maintain diligence in producing Marketing and Sales plans and produce a weekly monthly and quarterly reports for the director to review at weekly meetings.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel (Web based software)

  • Strong technology skills and willingness to learn new technology

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Ability to problem solve and present technical product information

  • Comfortable with and proven success with customer visits

  • Proven sales and lead generation abilities

  • Superior customer service focus and attitude

  • Willing and able to work independently

  • Have met or exceeded sales expectations

  • Must be self motivated

  • Understand the sales process, comfortable with call planning and reporting

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills

  • Be honest and trustworthy, respectful and demonstrate sound work ethics

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work under pressure

  • Able to effectively communicate with all types of staff, including laborers, technical, professional and upper management

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle required

  • Comfortable navigating city roadways

Must Have

  • Bachelor Degree or Higher
